Proposal for Organizational Culture Changes in a Selected Company

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to point out an neglected part of strategic management - organizational culture and to demonstrate its influence on the company's economic performance. Through product analysis, guided observation, guided interviews using the Focus Group method, SWOT analysis focusing on the identification of significant elements of organisational culture and a questionnaire survey using the Denison Organisational Culture Survey method, the thesis maps the current level of organisational culture across the company, identifies the differences between the currently perceived organisational culture and the optimal/ideal organisational culture, analyses the company's underlying economic performance and also addresses the identification of risks. Based on the current level of organizational culture of a specific company in the context of its economic results, the thesis then presents an application proposal for changing the organizational culture, including a proposal for the implementation of the proposed measures as an integrated part of strategic management, coupled with a risk analysis and forecast of the economic impact of the solution on the company's economic results.

The thesis identifies the impact of the financial crisis on the banking sector of the Czech Republic. The reader is introduced with the most considerable causes of the recent crisis. Subsequently, the beginning of the crisis in the USA and impact on ČR and EÚ is identified. The core of the thesis is the analysis of the banking sector based on the evolution of credits, deposits and profits in the Czech Republic during the crisis. In conclusion there is the comparison of the knowledge from the conducted analysis with the studies of the authors included in the theoretical part of the thesis.
